The Drexel School of Public Health honored its newly-enrolled students at its annual pinning ceremony and reception on September 23, 2004, in the historic rooms of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia.

Members of the Full-Time MPH, Executive MPH, MD/MPH and DrPH programs received pins embossed with the seal of the School of Public Health, and recited the school pledge, which references both the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Charter of the World Health Organization. Dr. Walter Tsou, President-elect of the American Public Health Association, gave the keynote address. The pinning ceremony was originally conceived by Dr. Jonathan Mann (1947-1998), the first Dean of the School of Public Health.
