Dean Marla J. Gold, M.D., and Assoc. Professor Dennis Gallagher, M.A., M.P.A., are quoted in a 2-part investigative newspaper report, "A Recipe For Trouble," which ran in The Morning Call, covering the Lehigh Valley portion of Pennsylvania, on July 31 and August 1. The report highlights the many problems currently existing in regard to food safety inspection within the Commonwealth, including lack of adequate inspectors, and little to no coordination between such inspections as exist. "Records show that in some cases, Pennsylvania restaurants and food retailers go more than four or five years without a single inspection."
