Prof. Fisman cited in NY Times

Assistant Professor David Fisman, MD, Dept. of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, is cited in a New York Times article of July 19, which details New York state health officials' urgent recommendations that hospitals decontaminate their water supplies following the second outbreak of Legionnaires' disease in a New York hospital this year. Dr. Fisman's remarks describe why outbreaks of the disease are noticed more often within hospitals than outside. The article, by Times correspondent Anahad O'Connor, says that the State guidelines, handed out on July 14, "still lag behind those in Maryland and in Pittsburgh."
