Public Health feasibility study for Lancaster county
"A health department is needed in Lancaster County. But it won’t necessarily be an easy sell. So concludes a study of the feasibility of establishing a public health department [in the county]." A recent article in the Lancaster New Era highlights the ongoing work of the Drexel School of Public Health to determine the cost, value and feasibility of establishing a countywide public health department in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The study, which is being overseen at the School by Dennis Gallagher, M.A., M.P.A. and Jennifer Kolker, M.P.H., has found "some very strong feelings for, and against, the creation of" such a department.
