Associate Professor Randall L. Sell, ScD, has co-authored "Discordance between Sexual Behavior and Self-Reported Sexual Identity: A Population-Based Survey of New York City Men," in Annals of Internal Medicine (19 September 2006, 145(6): 416-425). The article describes results of a random telephone survey of over 4000 males in New York City, and concluding that "[m]any New York City men who have sex with men do not identify as gay."

A full-text edition of the article is available online.
