Nadia J. Siddiqui is a Senior Health Policy Analyst at the Center for Health Equality. Ms. Siddiqui conducts research and evaluation of national, state and local policies and programs targeting racial/ethnic minority populations and their health care. Ms. Siddiqui currently serves as Project Manager on CHE’s major preparedness and diversity initiatives funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health. These include the creation of a national consensus panel to develop cohesive guidance on integrating racial/ethnic minorities in preparedness; the creation of the nation’s first online resource center focused on advancing preparedness for minority communities; and a statewide study of California’s efforts, challenges and gaps to preparing and responding to diverse communities. Ms. Siddiqui also serves as Senior Analyst on CHE projects focused on comprehensive health reform, suburban poverty and health care, and unmet primary care needs among the uninsured. In addition, Ms. Siddiqui has been involved with CHE’s community-based participatory research efforts, including the implementation and evaluation of a replication program that established beauty salons as health education sites for minorities.

Ms. Siddiqui holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. From her academic and research training, Ms. Siddiqui brings skills in quantitative and qualitative program and policy evaluation.

Research Interests: Racial/ethnic disparities in health and health care; public health emergency preparedness and minorities; suburban poverty and health care access; and regionalization of care.
